This page also outlines your responsibilities as a RideUK community member, make sure you are read these before accepting joining the community.
1.Website Use and Content
- You acknowledge that any riding undertaken based on this content is done entirely at your own risk and that no guarantees are made regarding route accuracy, road conditions, or safety.
- rideuk.net is a community-based platform where users can access content related to riding public roads within the UK and occasionally abroad.
- The content provided – including route maps, ride suggestions, and event details – is for general information only. Public roads are dynamic and subject to change due to roadworks, diversions, weather conditions, and traffic restrictions.
2.Event Participation
- You are not buying a guided tour, nor are you paying for mechanical support, instruction, insurance, or any material goods or services but we will do out best to assist you if it was required.
- By registering for an event, you are securing a non-refundable place in a community ride led by the creator of rideuk.net. This is not a commercial tour or professionally guided service.
- The fee charged is a contribution that helps cover website running costs, route planning, admin, and coordination efforts. It does not constitute the purchase of a service or product.
3.Your Responsibility as a Rider
- By signing up for or participating in any ride or event through rideuk.net, you agree to the following:
- You accept that rideuk.net and its organisers bear no responsibility or liability for any accident, injury, breakdown, fine, legal issue, or mechanical failure that may occur.
- You participate entirely at your own risk and are responsible for your own safety, behaviour, and riding skills.
- You must hold a valid UK driving licence (or equivalent, if outside the UK) suitable for the vehicle you ride.
- Your motorcycle (or other vehicle) must be roadworthy, properly maintained, and legally insured for use on public roads.
- You are solely responsible for compliance with the Highway Code and all applicable traffic laws and regulations.
4.Multi-Day Rides and Accommodation
- You are also responsible for your own meals, fuel, tolls, breakdown cover, and travel arrangements.
- For rides that span multiple days, you are entirely responsible for arranging and paying for your own accommodation.
- Where possible, we may inform you of the accommodation booked by the ride leader for your convenience, but there is no obligation to stay in the same place, and we do not book accommodation for you.
5.Liability Disclaimer
- You acknowledge these risks and participate voluntarily.
- rideuk.net and its creator(s) accept no liability for any personal injury, death, property damage, legal consequences, or loss of any kind arising from your use of this website or your participation in any ride or event.
- Riding on public roads always carries inherent risks, including but not limited to changing road conditions, interaction with other road users, mechanical failure, and rider error.
6.Refunds and Cancellations
- We are not responsible for any additional costs you may have incurred, including accommodation bookings, travel costs, or missed work.
- All event bookings are non-refundable unless an event is cancelled by rideuk.net.
- If we cancel a ride or event, we will inform you as soon as possible and may offer a refund or credit toward a future event, at our discretion.
7.Community Conduct
- Unsafe riding, abusive language, harassment, or reckless behaviour may result in immediate exclusion from the event and potential removal from the community.
- Participants are expected to treat others respectfully, both online and in person.
8.Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with the revised effective date. Continued use of rideuk.net or participation in rides following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
9.Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of the website or participation in rides shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
